Most software gets designed around a client's requirements document. WaterApp was designed around a delivery route that our founder, Gourav Garhwal, walks himself.
Gourav runs a water jar and RO water delivery business in Chhindwara. Long before WaterApp existed as a product, it existed as an internal fix for a very specific frustration: keeping track of which customer had how many jars out, who had paid, and which staff member delivered where — without any of it depending on someone's memory.
Once the basics worked for his own business — customer records, daily delivery logging, monthly billing — it became clear the same problem existed for other water delivery operators. That's when the internal tool became WaterApp for Water Business, published on the Google Play Store, with a companion staff app so delivery employees could work from the same live data without needing separate training for every new customer location.
Because Gourav still operates the water business, feature requests aren't hypothetical. A change to how delivery routes are logged, or how monthly cards are generated, gets tested against a real route before it reaches other customers. It's a slower way to build software than writing a spec and handing it to a team — but it's also why WaterApp's feature set reads like a checklist of actual delivery-day problems rather than a generic CRM.
If you run a water delivery business and something about your daily operations still doesn't fit neatly into WaterApp, that's useful information for us — not a shortcoming to work around. The product grew out of one business's real constraints, and it keeps growing the same way.
